BOOM! ? Finally - this week Nike is releasing the Air Jordan 1 WMNS High OG 'Tie-Dye'!
This year Jordan brand has been very happy to draw more attention to the women's market again and has already released several "WMNS ONLY" sneakers that went through the roof. Last but not least, collaborations with talents from the scene, such as with streetwear designer Melody Ehsani on the Air Jordan WMNS OG, supported the entire female sneaker scene to a good portion of more attention and finally brought more to the fore. With a big drum roll and lots of confetti we can finally celebrate the release of the Air Jordan 1 WMNS High OG 'Tie-Dye' this week! The beautiful pair of high top sneakers will be released on June 11, 2020 at 09:00 am as usual directly from Nike in the SNEAKRS app. For €159 you can treat yourself to the kickz. Air Jordan 1 - the hype is real
If you haven't noticed the hype about the silhouette of the Air Jordan 1, designed by Peter Moore, and not Tinker Hatfield, you either haven't done your homework properly or you have missed the year so far. Because the hype around the Nike Air Jordan 1, first released in 1985, is bigger than ever this year. The first signature sneaker by Michael Jordan. Back then, the silhouette rocked the court with the Chicago Bulls jersey, and now it's hard to imagine the streets of the world without it.
This is mainly due to the fact that celebrities such as Travis Scott aka Cactus Jack launched strictly limited colorways of this silhouette this year. That's exactly the way it will be with almost every model of the Nike SB Dunk Low's in 2020. One time Nike pops out a collab with a celebrity, also hyped, and all the hypebeasts out there are focused on that very silhouette. That's what I call marketing in its most obvious and at the same time most effective form! Here the opinions on how to find the whole thing are quite divided. Resellers and bot-users definitely have a big grin on their faces this year. ?
That's the thing about hypes…
…but the big hustle and bustle has its good sides too! With the 1s Jordans now being so celebrated, Nike will of course continue to go on and knock out one fire colorway after another. If you are still reading in a cool way and haven't yet clicked on one of the other blogs of my colleagues, I would like to use this opportunity to have a good cry: I'm pretty sad that this colorway is not being released in men's sizes. ? Great, in which way I show you how much I appreciate your interest, right? ??
All jokes aside dear community! If you're still here, then you really seem to be extremely interested in this Jordan brand gem. No wonder! Because the Air Jordan 1 WMNS High OG 'Tie-Dye' is something special you don't see every day. The sneaker comes with a batik look or a print on the overlays which represents the result of a "Tie-Dye Technique".
Tie-Dye is the trend par excellence in streetwear at the moment! Actually, the batik look is no magic, because you can create your most dismal clothes only with elastic bands, textile color and some skill quite easy! There are enough videos on the Internet. If you watch one of the videos, you will notice that the different clothes always have to be crumpled up to get the desired result. Of course this is not possible with a sneaker, which is why this print on top of it is even more special!
The base and midsole in white, combined with a black leather toebox + black swoosh give the sneaker the final touch and harmonize perfectly with the pattern or the classy colors push the pattern into focus.
