What does Gore-Tex actually stand for?
The Gore-Tex technology combines street-ready shoes with important outdoor properties such as traction and durability, water repellency and other features. The special thing about it, according to Nike, is that you don't have to forego the special wearing comfort thanks to the Air technology or the chic look.
In addition, the kicks are still breathable and keep you nice and warm, especially in Winter. This project combines the comfortable outdoor characteristics with the great look of the AF1 series. We take a closer look at some of the Air Force 1 Gore-Tex models below.
You can currently buy these Gore-Tex models
Let's start with the Nike Air Force 1 GORE-TEX® 'Black' colorway. The listed models have already been released in 2020, but have the advantage that they are partly available in the sale. The all-black version goes well with the colder winter months and convinces with its great outdoor features.
With a little luck, you can get the shoe in the sale for around €120.
Nike Air Force 1 GORE-TEX® 'Olive'
Next up is the Nike Air Force 1 GORE-TEX® 'Olive' colorway. The shoe has a white sole, with some accents in green and dark green. The toe box and the middle part of the shoe, for example, are a different shade of green than the overlays or the heel area.
The AF1 waterproofs are also on sale for €106.
Nike Air Force 1 High Gore-Tex 'Medium Olive'
For all lovers of the Air Force 1 High variant, I have picked out the High Top variant in 'Medium Olive'. With a high-top sneaker, the ankles are additionally protected and especially when it's really cold, this area is significantly warmer than with the comparable low versions.
The Gore-Tex properties remain the same and feature great traction. The upper is made of textile and leather. You can also snap up this shoe in the sale! Cost: from €145.
Nike Air Force 1 GORE-TEX® 'Sail'
The last of the 2020 Air Force 1 Gore-Tex series is the 'Sail' version. The light colorway is particularly popular, but on the other hand it is also much more susceptible to dirt than the darker colorways.
The shoe is unfortunately not available in the sale, but can be bought for the normal price of €150.
These outdoor sneakers are still waiting for you
Nike already has one or two exciting shoes in the pipeline for Autumn and Winter. Among others, the Nike Air Force 1 Low Luxe in 'Pecan' and 'Black Gum' colorway were released in September 2021.
At first glance, the look of the Air Force is quite unusual. Especially the sole gives the shoe the right outdoor and winter look. The new AF1 design can be bought for €150.
Finally, I would like to draw your attention to the Nike Air Force 1 High Utility 2.0 'Arctic Pink'. The pink Air Force 1 High version is still expected in 2021. The outdoor elements, such as the special sole, can also be seen here.
