Aim high with the Nike Blazer Low Platform releases

So far we've seen many different modifications and tweaks on the timeless Nike Blazer, now we get another new variant and the first of its kind. The brand new Nike Blazer Low Platform in two colorways makes us shine already. Read on for more info and the first pictures.

Short info on the background of the Nike Blazer

Since 1972, Nike Basketball has been on the lookout for shoes that impress with innovation and design. The all-leather Nike Blazer, in turn, quickly established itself as Nike's identity in basketball. At that time, the Blazer was a simple cut and sewn model, a year later the suede details were added.

In 2012, Nike introduced the revolutionary Kobe 8 System. This is a completely new interpretation of mesh that was tailored to the needs of one of the best players in the game. The three basic elements of a basketball shoe are the upper, the midsole and the outsole. The upper of the shoe is critical in keeping an athlete safe, supported and comfortable. Of course, it also provides the opportunity to add uniqueness to the shoe with colours, graphics and unique performance features.

Today, the blazer is widely loved for its iconic features and easy-to-style, clean look. The retro vibes do the rest. That's exactly why we're so excited about the two upcoming releases.

The Nike Blazer Low Platform

The two colorways come in the tonal 'White' or the two-tone 'White/Black' scheme. The reinforcements in the toe area and on the lateral forefoot remain.

At first glance, the sole is not much different from the one with which the shoe debuted in the 1970s. On closer inspection, however, it then becomes clear that the platform is a subtle eye-catcher. After all, the outsole boasts a herringbone pattern, contributing to sleek styling.

The Nike Blazer Low Platform 'Triple White' is made in white according to its name and also from high-quality leather. As always, you can see the slightly disproportionate Nike Swoosh on the lateral side. Branding also continues on the foam-padded tongue in the forefoot, insole and heel. The overlays of the all-white sneaker are made of smooth leather instead of suede, unlike the Nike Blazer Low Platform 'White'.

The special highlight of the releases is of course the platform sole, which gives the classic a modern twist. As expected, it is equipped with the brand's premium cushioning technology. The WMNS models will be sold in sizes 35.5 to 42.
