The well-known adidas YEEZY silhouettes are returning. After the breakup between Kanye West, now Ye, and adidas, it was long questioned what would happen to the YEEZY line. It seems that adidas will continue the line under the name adidas YZY Footwear. We can expect the first YZY silhouettes in August 2023.
It's been an eventful few months for adidas. The successful YEEZY line came to an end in late 2022 after adidas announced its breakup with Ye. The rapper and designer had expressed himself inappropriately on social media and lost partnership after partnership, including the one with adidas.
In May 2023, the first major restock of YEEZY models still in stock appeared. Now it seems that adidas line is continuing as yet, without Ye, under the name adidas YZY Footwear. The line comes with the signature silhouettes like the Slides and the Foam Runners. Also returning is the YZY Boost 350 V2, as well as the Boost 700.
The expected lineup for August 2023 comes with 24 sneakers. With the relaunch of YZY, adidas seems to be taking a different approach. Reportedly, proceeds from the sale of YZY stock will be donated to organizations such as Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the Philonise & Keeta Floyd Institute for Social Change.
The sneakers also appear to come in a new box. The previous shoe boxes featured the name YEEZY and in the first images released, the name YZY has been placed on the boxes.
