Kermit The Frog explained the world to us as children on Sesame Street. Now adidas is bringing their expertise back on board for a new collab. On 01 April 2021, the classic Stan Smith with Disney's Kermit will be launched. With this collab, we can once again learn something from Kermit: how easy it is to live your life greener and how important a sustainable and conscious lifestyle is. Since 1973, the beloved classic Stan Smith has hardly changed, but now it is becoming even more timeless. Clean, minimalist, sporty, comfortable and greener:
The brand has "declared war on plastic waste", which is why this shoe is made with recycled materials. This means that these kicks are Primegreen and 50% of the upper is thus produced from different, functional recycled materials and without new polyester. Furthermore, by 2024, adidas only wants to use recycled polyester in their products.

The kicks still retain their iconic design, but are complemented by playful highlights of the TV frog. For example, you'll find a drawing of the children's hero on the tongue and can read his name on the long sides. The upper material features a perforated "K".

This Primegreen sneaker also pays homage to the famous green Puppet. Instead of the discreet associations, its name is emblazoned in the same leafy green amidst the perforated 3-stripes. In addition, the frog itself is printed on the upper near the heel.
