Disney celebrates it's 100 anniversary this year, 2023. It's already been a hundred years of cartoons, motion pictures and some of the most imaginative creatures ever created. In celebration of this special anniversary Disney teamed up with non other than adidas for some special sneaker designs. The two names have worked together a lot in the past already and do now present the adidas Samba in a vegan version, featuring Disneys famous Mickey Mouse characters. The sneaker is releasing on the 27th of April 2023.
The Samba will drop in two different versions. An all white colorway and one white Samba with red accents. One designs refers to Mickey Mouse and the other one to Mickey's lover Minnie Mouse. Gilded 'Samba' lettering hits the medials above the Classic Three Stripes marking, while the heels see Mickey's gloved hand form half a heart. The cartoon character stands strong on the leather tongues, inserting a cheeky grin into standard adidas branding.
The Minnie Mouse Samba comes with small dashes of color, inserting red touches that symbol her vibes character. Just like the shoe of her lover. The Minnie Mouse shoe come in a vegan white leather and features tinted medial decorations, model-specific motifs and red adidas tongue prints. To finish it all of are Minnie's hand placed on the heel counter in a heart form by her polka-dotted bows.
