For the young trainer lovers among us, this topic may sound unfamiliar. But if you grew up between the 80s and 00s, you have undoubtedly heard of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In honour of the 40th anniversary since the first appearance of the TMNT in comic books, adidas has teamed up with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to create a 'Shelltoe' Superstar!
The design of the sneaker is distinguished by a vibrant green upper with a turtle pattern on the toe cap. This is obviously a nod to the Superstar's 'Shelltoe' nickname, honouring its iconic heroes.
Furthermore, this adidas Superstar contains thoughtful details. Think monogrammed charms representing each turtle. Or extra laces, double pairs of sock liners and the hidden "Ninja Power!" text under the tongue. To top it all off, each pair comes in packaging reminiscent of the action figures. This is combined with an exclusive TMNT comic book for collectors.
Although adidas has yet to give official confirmation, the release of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x adidas Superstar 'Shelltoe' is expected to take place in February 2024.
