Using the EV3R_CHANGING_VIS10NS campaign, adidas and Foot Locker have launched a new futuristic sneaker, the NMD_V3, on Thursday April 28, 2022. We all know the NMD as an adidas Originals classic. The silhouette has now been upgraded, with the aim of bringing the online and offline worlds closer together.
The original NMD has been given a new look by adding digital aspects to the sneaker. In this way, the sneaker has combined the offline style of the street with the online style of the digital world. This is for example visible in the transparent heel clip.
The sneakers have been released in three colorways, a black, a white and a green pink. With an eye to the future, the shoes are made from recycled materials. All in all, the NMDs combine the classic elements of a running shoe with a futuristic twist.
To launch the campaign, adidas and Foot Locker enlisted the help of three well-known rappers from Europe. Nahir from France, Sainté from the UK, and Sacky from Italy. The rappers are the models for the campaign, so they are wearing the sneakers for a digital distorted image of their hometown. These images can be viewed below!
