Pharell Williams and adidas will launch a new NMD Hu this year. This upcoming version is a tribute to the 20th anniversary of 'In Search of…'. This debut album by the band N.E.R.D was released on March 12, 2001. For those who do not know N.E.R.D: they are a band that consisted of Pharrell, Chad Hugo and Shay Haley. The name of the band is an acronym for 'No One Ever Really Dies'.

Last year in October 2020, it was already announced that Pharrell Williams and N.E.R.D would release a new Adidas NMD Hu style this year in 2021.

The very first 'all black' N.E.R.D x adidas NMD HU pair first dropped in 2017. We're now four years on and still excited about this sixth N.E.R.D x adidas NMD Hu sneaker. Scroll on for the first official images.
The upper of the sneakers is made entirely of PrimeKnit material. The laces and cages that sit just above the midfoot are covered in a creamy hue. The white embroidered N.E.R.D. logo runs across the middle of the right shoe, while Japanese letters adorn the left shoe.
To reflect the anniversary of the 'In Search of…' album, the kicks feature a '20' sign on the heel. In addition, pastel shades emerge to brighten up the look. The right lining has a peach shade and the left side baby blue. The outsole is also a different colour. On the right foot, it is coloured baby blue and on the left (where the Chinese letters are) it is light turquoise.
Unlike previous Pharrell NMD Hu releases, this pair does not have Trail soles. The midsole still features adidas their famous BOOST cushioning. This ensures comfort with every step you take.

This NERD x adidas NMD HU is expected to be released this Summer 2021. We expect the kicks around the 20th anniversary of the album on August 6, 2021.
