ASICS
ASICS was founded in 1949 by Kihachiro Onitsuka. The company name ASICS is short for 'Anima Sana In Corpore Sano', which is Latin for 'a healthy mind in a healthy body'. The quote inspired Onitsuka to create sports shoes and help young people through sport.
In 1986, the first ASICS shoe with a gel sole was released. The brand then patented the sole in 1991 to be able to use the technology exclusively. To this day, it is an important component of the Gel-Lyte sneakers. The Gel-Lyte model as we know it today has been a lifestyle sneaker since 2007 and we have already enjoyed some collaborations with big brands and names like Ronnie Fieg and Patta.

The Monozukuri Pack 'Wood Crepe' is a fresh, lightweight sneaker for the warm summer months. The colorway features a white mesh base with beige suede overlays. The ASICS stripes on the side are also beige, but in smooth leather. The colours are very subtle and bright, so you can combine the shoe with everything.
Concepts X ASICS Gel-Lyte III 'Otoro' | 1203A121-700
Concepts from Boston has already shown on two colorways that they can implement strong releases on the ASICS Gel-Lyte III. Those were 'Three Lies' and the 'Boston Tea Party'. Now comes the third collab, inspired by a Japanese tuna and by extension Japanese restaurant culture. The most popular is the fatty belly of the tuna, also called otoro.
