The Nike KD 15 'Aunt Pearl' features a girly design covered in hues of pink. Kevin Durant's design has been in the making long before its release as the model is inspired by his hate aunt who, unfortunately, passed away due to lung cancer. As a commemorative colorway it not only serves as a sentimental one for its designer but also supports the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
The sneaker features floral designs all throughout the pink upper as the breathable mesh base is accessorised with suede around the heel and collar. Velvet material covers the tongue while small suede designs depicting roses and 'Aunt Pearl' in handwritten font elevate the design. The medial of the shoe is strengthened by moulded TPU where the classic Swoosh is depicted in a geometrical design with different hues of pink with a pearl finish. Branding elements featured on the tongue tag, insole and heel tag reference the KD design as well as 'Auntie Pearl'. The sneaker features the visible Air Zoom Strobel for increased comfort and cushioning while the icy translucent pink outsole completes the design.
