The extravagant Nike Air Force 1 Low 'Chinese New Year'
Nike adds a new sneaker to its 2024 'Chinese New Year' lineup. Recently, we saw three colorways of the Air Jordan 2 Low appear. Now Nike is showing the Air Force 1 Low 'Chinese New Year.' A luxury sneaker (with a price tag). The sneaker will most likely drop on February 14, 2024, at Nike.
Even though we are already a month into the new year, China is celebrating the year 2024 next month. During Chinese New Year, also known as Spring Festival, the new moon is celebrated. Each year is linked to a different animal in the Chinese calendar. This year, the mythical creature the dragon takes center stage, something reflected in the anticipated Nike Air Force 1 Low 'Chinese New Year'.
The sneaker has a chic and extravagant design. The model features a gold colorway. Placed across the model are flowers that are stitched into the material. This motif continues across the midsole. Across the side panels are embroidered dragons placed in gold. Purple details on the center panel give the sneaker a unique touch.
Embroidered on the heel is the gold Nike Air logo, as well as the Chinese character "喜喜" - which translates as "double the luck. The Chinese character pays homage to both the Spring Festival and Valentine's Day, which take place a few days apart. The gold lace eyelets, cream outsole and off-white laces complete the sneakers.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low 'Chinese New Year' will most likely drop on Feb. 14, 2024, via Nike SNKRS Asia with a retail price of ¥2,599 RMB (approximately $365 USD). Check out the official images of the pair below. Keep an eye on the Sneakerjagers release calendar for upcoming releases.
