Chicago-based artist Bryant Giles works with New Balance on the 2002R model in the form of an ‘Olive Green’ (M2002RAG) sneaker. The Olive Green canvas upper portrays Giles’ signature embroidered illustrations alongside mesh material. 

An interesting touch is the velcro “N” logos on the side, which can be taken on and off. The sneaker utilises an N-ergy unit and ABZORB cushioning in the midsole for comfort and stability, and the rubber outsole is a neutral grey colour to compliment the green colorway.  

The artist also released the 2002 slip-on sneaker ‘Angora’ with New Balance.
