NYC-based brand Barriers has drawn inspiration from The North Star on this Converse collab, a 19th-century anti-slavery newspaper that sits comfortably within Barriers’ messages of anti-racism and progress. 

The Barriers x Converse Pro Leather ‘Monks Robe’ (A01787C) is a high-top sneaker constructed from premium brown suede and featuring white sherpa detail along the star and chevrons, leather lining around the collar, and debossed Barriers logos on the laterals. The vibrant yarn laces are a striking detail, as are the scuffed, pre-aged midsoles sitting upon gum rubber outsoles. 

The sneaker comes with two pairs of extra laces.
