The Japanese streetwear label WTAPS, a reference to “double taps,” a military term, is releasing a new sneaker in collaboration with New Balance. In the past, the brand has released colorways of silhouettes such as the 992, 990v2, and 990v6.
In this upcoming collaboration, the New Balance ABZORB 2010 takes center stage, presented in WTAPS’ signature color scheme.
As with previous collaborations with New Balance, the military theme is central to the ABZORB 2010. The sneaker features soft, harmonious green tones. A mesh upper provides breathability, while suede and leather overlays offer support.
Subtle WTAPS branding can be found on the heel, lateral side, and insole. The bright green ABZORB cushioning pods in the midsole give this monochrome release a striking and fresh twist.

The New Balance ABZORB 2010 made its debut as a new silhouette in early 2025, with strong influences from New Balance’s archives. In addition to various general releases, KITH’s Ronnie Fieg released two colorways of this silhouette, while END. hosted an exclusive release last month to celebrate their 20th anniversary.
In the near future, we can most likely expect more from the New Balance ABZORB 2010. The WTAPS collab is just the beginning, which is very promising.
The WTAPS x New Balance ABZORB 2010 ‘Olive’ is now available via New Balance. Check all release details in the Sneakerjagers release calendar and don’t miss this drop.
The name of the Japanese streetwear label WTAPS refers to the military term “double taps,” a technique in which two shots are fired in quick succession. Military influences run deep throughout WTAPS’ collections.
