New Balance 550 'White'
The New Balance 550 'White' is being re-released. The 550 model was reintroduced in 2020 and celebrates a big comeback since then. The shoe was first released in 1989, but did not immediately catch on with everyone. About 30 years later, the New Balance silhouette was reintroduced to the market and trainer boutiqe Aimé Leon Dore blew new life into the model.
The 550 has a classic silhouette. The upper is white and has various grey details. The overlays on the middle panel and toe cap have perforation holes. The N-logo on the mid panel is white and the NB logo on the heel is in grey.
The midsole is coloured off white, what gives the shoe a retro look. The colour grey also returns on the outsole and matches well with the details on the upper.
On the label of the tongue, we see the New Balance logo with a basketball, because, as you may know, the model was officially introduced as a basketball shoe. We also see '550' stitched on the nose.
