Update July 1, 2025 – Rapper Westside Gunn, known for his iconic "ayo, ayo" adlibs, is launching his first sneaker in collaboration with Saucony. The partnership was first teased in late 2024 with a Griselda-Saucony co-branded logo.
Now we finally get a first look at the sneaker itself – and it’s red. Very red.
Last week, during Paris Fashion Week, Saucony showcased the collaboration in all its glory. The model in question is the Grid Jazz 9, named 'Scorpion'. The sneaker is completely dressed in red from top to bottom and features a mix of materials, including reptile-like leather on the overlays and collar. Faux fur also appears to be used on the mid-panel.
Saucony’s usual logo has been replaced with a scorpion – a symbol often used by Griselda Records and also associated with seized goods.
This won’t be the only release from the duo. Earlier sketches of the ProGrid Omni 9 and the ProGrid Triumph 4 have also surfaced. There is no official release date yet for these models or for the Saucony Grid Jazz 9 'Scorpion'.

Westside Gunn Confirms First Collaboration with Saucony

Original post October 15, 2024 – Griselda rapper Westside Gunn is launching his first sneaker collab. Recently, the first images surfaced of two Saucony silhouettes: the ProGrid Omni 9 and the ProGrid Triumph 4. It’s still unknown when the Westside Gunn x Saucony collab will drop.
It took a while, but rapper Westside Gunn – known for tracks like “Margeila Split Toes,” “327,” and “Gunnlib” – is finally getting his first sneaker collaboration. On October 10, 2024, the rapper shared the first images of his designs for Saucony. In his post, he thanked Jae Tips for “opening doors,” referencing Tips’ recent collaboration.
In the images, the rapper shared mock-ups of the Saucony ProGrid Omni 9 and the ProGrid Triumph 4. The ProGrid Omni 9 features a red colorway with lime green and black accents. The ProGrid Triumph 4, on the other hand, comes in blue, yellow, and red. Both colorful sneakers include classic Saucony branding.
The final slide of the post also includes a clip from his appearance on the Complex Sneakers Show in October 2023. There, he spoke about Jae Tips, who he said had the best sneaker collab of the year. Now, he's joining the Saucony team himself — a full-circle moment.
