The Nike Air Flight Huarache is set to make its return in 2023. The classic basketball shoe is going to be back on the store shelves for the first time since 2014.
First released in 1992 and last released in 2014, the Air Flight Huarache is the basketball interpretation of Tinker Hatfield's Air Huarache. The sneaker uses the Huarache technology designed by Hatfield. Together with Eric Avans, they created this ultra-light, sock-like sneaker for the basketball court. The shoe was popularised by the Michigan Wolverines’ “Fab Five” team. It was also worn by legends such as Scottie Pippen, Reggie Miller, and in later years also by Kobe Bryant.
The pictures in this article are from the sneakers' last 2014 release. However, the shoe is set to release next year, 2023, in April in the original White/Varsity Purple-Royal and Blue-Menta colorway. With, so far, no known adjustments. The sneaker features a white upper with a purple and blue neoprene inner boot. The design is completed by a black heel and ankle cage.
