It's cold and grey outside and I'm staring at the latest stroke of genius from Nike SB on my screen: The Nike SB Dunk High 'Hawaii'. Slowly, the pale pink flowers blur on the green, blue and aqua ground and I hear softly the high waves of the Pacific crashing off the coast of Hawaii. There I feel the sun warm on my skin, smell the sweet fragrance of the hibiscus blossom and taste the salt on my tongue. While my thoughts wander somewhere "Over the Rainbow" and to places of longing, the new SB Kicks let us dream of our holiday wishes… (and of a release date soon).

Unlike the Nike SB Dunk Low 'Hawaii' dropped in 2005, which evoked the natural force of the island's volcanoes, the High silhouette is bursting with aloha spirit. The sneaker is bolder and brighter with classic Hawaiian features. The soft pink and beige floral motifs stand out clearly on the 'Sail Blue' and green coloured upper.
The pale yellow tongue and the Swoosh are also made of hemp. This is a material that is often used on the island for beach bags or trousers and thus symbolises closeness to nature. The laces are also in the same colour, as is the rubber outsole. In contrast, the midsole is white.
NIKE SB DUNK HIGH 'HAWAII' - Give Me More
As usual, the price will be around €110 and we assume that the kicks will be available in selected skate shops and at Nike. However, there is no officially confirmed release date for these sneakers directly from the paradisiacal Aloha State. However, it is likely that the shoe will be released in the coming summer months.
