Following the success of their first collaboration last year, Dr. Martens is once again partnering with the French fashion house’s sub-label. Just like last time, MM6 Maison Margiela went all out, creating two standout designs—although at first glance, they might not appear that way.
In reality, this collaboration delivers not just two but four silhouettes. That’s because each shoe is a hybrid: the 1460 Boot fused with the 1461, and the 1461 Boot merged with the Penton Loafer. Hence, 4-in-2. Both designs come in an all-white colorway with subtle MM6 branding.
The first model combines Dr. Martens’ iconic 1460 8-eye Boot with the 1461 3-eye Shoe. The heel features MM6’s signature numerical logo embossed into the leather, while the classic AirWair heel loop has been modified for this collaboration.
The second model blends the structure of the 1461 Shoe with the easy slip-on character of the Penton Loafer. Its minimalist white look gains extra depth through clever layering and design.
Both styles feature a mix of Smooth and Virginia leather, tonal stitching, and the brand’s signature DMS sole.
Release
