Nike and Patta are teaming up again, bringing their signature 'Wave' design to the Air Max 90. The first two colorways of the release, the 'Cyber' and the 'Sapphire', have already been unveiled.
Nike has just shared the official images of a new pair that joins the lineup. This version features the colors 'Particle Grey' and 'Anthracite.' The forefoot and toebox appear to be made of perforated leather, while black suede seems to be used on the tongue.

On June 13th, Patta officially announced their latest collaboration with Nike, unveiling the full “The New Wave” collection. This collection marks another chapter in the strong partnership between the Amsterdam-based brand and Nike.
Once again spotlighting the iconic Air Max series, the collaboration focuses on the Air Max 90 model. The four colorways in the collection are made with premium materials and showcase the signature wave-shaped mudguard that has become a signature design element of Patta x Nike.
In addition to the sneakers, Patta and Nike are releasing a capsule collection featuring apparel and accessories in addition to the sneakers. As with earlier drops, the collection continues to carry Patta’s universal message: Patta Got Love for All.
Both brands share deep roots in music culture. To honour this connection, the “The New Wave” launch will include a limited-edition vinyl record featuring exclusive campaign tracks. This collectible will be available only at Patta Chapter stores and will be gifted with a tracksuit or a pair of Air Max 90s.
Release Info
Early access to the tracksuits and t-shirts begins via the Patta app on June 18, 2025. The first official release will follow on June 20, 2025, on pattaxnike.com and in Patta Chapter stores in Amsterdam, London, Milan, and Lagos. A second drop is planned for June 27, 2025.

Just In: New Images of the Patta x Nike Air Max 90 'Wave'
Update May 28, 2025 - After the first rumors about a Patta x Nike Air Max 90 collaboration began circulating in late 2024, the first images of a second colorway appeared this week. Artist Odumodublvck was spotted wearing a neon green Air Max 90 featuring a wavy mudguard and matching tracksuit at the City Splash Festival.
The sneaker draws inspiration from the Air Max 1 'Wave,' which was released in various colorways in 2021 and 2022 and remains extremely popular among sneaker enthusiasts worldwide. In 2024, the 'Chlorophyll' was re-released to celebrate Patta’s 20th anniversary, but it was the potential launch of the Air Max 90 that sparked the most curiosity among fans.
Patta co-founder Edson shared the first images of a purple-blue colorway featuring the same 'Wave' design as the Air Max 1. Now, more than six months later, we see a second colorway debut on Odumodublvck's feet, paired with a matching tracksuit in the same green shade.

The first images of the Patta x Nike Air Max 90 'Wave'
Original post October 14, 2024 - After the successful 2021 collab called 'The Wave', consisting of six colorways of the Air Max 1, the Air Max 90 is the next sneaker to receive this makeover. Shortly after the first rumors circulated about the collab in question, Edson Sabajo, co-founder of Patta, shared the first images of the sneaker.
Less than a month after the rerelease of the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 'Chlorophyll,' we can already look forward to another collaboration between the two brands. This time, the Amsterdam-based streetwear label is focusing on the Air Max 90 instead of the Air Max 1, which received the wavy mudguard two years ago.
The sneaker features a blue with gray and black colorway. The upper uses sturdy, silver mesh that contrasts nicely with the black wavy mudguard. Blue details on the upper and sole give the sneaker an eye-catching twist. Off-white details and sole provide the pair a retro touch.
The tongue features the brands' co-brandings. The Swoosh on the center panel is silver.
