ASICS has joined forces with the South Korean brand UNAFFECTED for a reinterpretation of the Gel-Kayano 14. This collaboration brings out UNAFFECTED's fresh perspective on the retro running shoe. In the process, the nostalgic sneaker comes back to life with its late-2000s aesthetic.
UNAFFECTED x ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 'Dark Shadow'
The 'Dark Shadow' version takes shape with a black knitted mesh base covered in shiny black patent leather. In addition, sparkling silver leather covers the toe cap. Furthermore, a quick-lace system leads to the tongue with a rubber ASICS logo on top.
Of course, the signature Tiger Stripes shines along the sides. Finally, there is a full-length GEL midsole above a rubber outsole.
UNAFFECTED x ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 'Bright White'
The next version, the 'Bright White', comes to life with a white knitted mesh base. This is combined with shiny black patent leather at the heel, while pure white leather wraps the toe. Again, we find the quick-lace system, the ASICS logo, and the Tiger Stripes.
UNAFFECTED x ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 'Posy Green'
The last variant, the 'Posy Green', consists of a green knitted mesh base, complemented by shiny black patent leather at the heel. In addition, the toe is wrapped in shiny green leather. Once again, the traditional laces have been replaced by the handy toggle switch, and we see a full-length GEL midsole, placed above the rubber outsole.
