On Friday, December 10, 2021, the fourth colorway of the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 'The Wave' collaboration was dropped. The 'Black' was the last colorway from the collab of Nike and Patta and, as the name suggests, has a black colorway. Due to the corona figures, the sneaker was sold through Patta's website and camping in front of the store was not possible.
Pick-up at Patta Store
The 'Black' colorway was released on 10 December 2021 at Patta. Due to the rising corona figures in the Netherlands, the shop had chosen to release the sneakers online.
The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 'Black' was available at 13:00 sharp. You could also win the pair in your desired size via raffles. The sneakers could then be picked up in the store in Amsterdam.
As with the previous releases of the 'Monarch', 'Noise Aqua' and the 'Rush Maroon', this time the store was also set up with the wave. This 'Wave' was coloured black and referred to the colourway of the sneaker: 'Black'.
Patta x Nike 'The Wave' - 'Black'
The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 'Black' has a wavy mudguard like its predecessors. The mudguard runs from the nose to the heel and is black on this pair. The sneaker has a 'Metallic Silver' upper and is made of mesh. The overlays are made of leather and colour black. The midsole has an off-white colour and gives the sneaker a retro look. The swoosh on the middle panel is white, as well as the small swoosh on the nose.
Apart from the sneakers, various corresponding clothing items were also sold. These were dropped just like the pairs at 13:00. Among these items were various shirts, accessories and a tracksuit. The accompanying magazine with the story of 'The Wave' was also in the Patta store.
