Patta and Stüssy are coming together again. The two streetwear brands first joined forces in 2017 to celebrate the opening of the Patta flagship store on the Zeedijk. In 2019, they released a capsule collection; now, in 2024, we see the 'Respect Tee' appear.
The shirt comes with a printed design that commemorates Humprey Rietfeld Schmidt, the late father of Patta co-founder Guillaume “Gee” Schmidt. The shirt arrives in two colorways; one white and one black. The tee features both logos.
"With the Respect Tee we are not only paying homage to the past but also empowering present and future generations to carry forward the spirit of resilience and progress," Patta said in a statement.
The collaboration pays tribute to a man “who positively impacted many lives,” as Patta puts it. Therefore, the money raised from this shirt will benefit and be donated to Project Bigi Pondo, an initiative dedicated to “community improvement and sustainable development” in Suriname.
