He’s arguably one of the greatest football stars the world has ever seen: Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, better known as Ronaldinho or Ronaldinho Gaúcho. The Brazilian football legend was crowned FIFA World Player of the Year twice (in 2004 and 2005) and led FC Barcelona, the team he played for wearing the iconic number 10, to multiple championship titles.

Ronaldinho and Nike
You might remember the iconic clip: Ronaldinho receives a pair of Nike Tiempos from a suitcase and effortlessly hits the crossbar over and over again (2005). The moment not only showcased Ronaldinho’s wizardry, his nickname O Bruxo means “the magician” in Portuguese, but also massively boosted the popularity of the Tiempo.
In 2021, Nike released a special edition of the Tiempo Legend V inspired by that legendary commercial. With just 3,000 pairs worldwide, it quickly became a coveted collector’s item. Now, Nike is breathing new life into this concept with a version for on- and off-field use.
Just like the 2021 edition, this Tiempo Legend comes in a striking white-and-gold colourway, a nod to the 2005 pair. Ronaldinho’s name is written in elegant script on the tongue, and the shoe includes an R-shaped hangtag charm, a matching pouch, and a custom shoebox.
On the heel, the numbers 5, 15, and 25 are printed, a subtle reference to key milestone years in Ronaldinho’s long-standing relationship with the Tiempo line.
