Update October 1, 2025 – Earlier this year, rumors circulated about an atmos x Nike Air Max 90 release. It was said to involve two colorways that had not yet been revealed at the time. Now, we’re seeing the first images of the first colorway, shared by atmos founder Hirofumi Kojima himself.
The first colorway, titled 'Harajuku' or 'HRJK,' draws inspiration from the OG 'Neon' colorway, in which the Air Max 95 made its debut back in 1995.
The release features a luxurious leather finish, instead of the classic combination of mesh and leather overlays. The overlays are made with reflective 3M material that lights up when illuminated. On the inside of the collar, the name of the release, ‘HRJK,’ is stitched.
The release pays tribute to Harajuku, a city that plays a prominent role in the Japanese fashion scene and is home to one of atmos’ stores. In 2000, atmos opened their flagship store in Harajuku. This release therefore celebrates both the store’s anniversary and the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 95.
In addition to revealing the first images of the collaboration, it has also been confirmed that this release will be exclusive to Asia. Unfortunately.

Nike en atmos releasen twee Air Max 95 colorways in 2026
Original post May 19, 2025 - Alongside all the recent Big Bubble releases and returning OGs, another special Air Max 95 drop is now on the horizon. The well-known Bubble Koppe account (@bubblekoppe) has just leaked that an atmos x Nike Air Max 95 release is expected in 2026 — great news for OG sneaker fans.
The Japanese retailer first released an Air Max 95 back in 2003: the ‘Viotech’. This sneaker featured the same colorway as the iconic Air Max 1 ‘Viotech’, which also dropped that year. The release was a big success, and in 2006 the duo teamed up again on the Air Max 95 ‘Beast’ — one of atmos’ most beloved designs ever.
The sneaker stood out with a bold colorway that lived up to its name, featuring various animal prints across the entire design — from cow to tiger to zebra patterns. In 2018, the release received a sequel with the unveiling of the ‘Beast 2.0’. Now, more than seven years later, another Air Max 95 release from the duo is on the way.
At the time of writing, little is known about the colorways. However, it appears that two versions may be in the works. Given the recent wave of Air Max 95 retros, atmos may bring back their iconic colorways — though entirely new designs are just as likely. We’re excited to find out.
