Naked and ASICS are cooking again. With the Gel-Cumulus 16 'Copenhagen', the Danish retailer's latest team-up drops a colorway that feels like a quiet evening by the water: soft, warm, and just a little different from what you'd expect.
The Naked x ASICS Gel-Cumulus 16 drops on September 18 at Naked CPH, ASICS, and a handful of select retailers. This Naked x ASICS Gel-Cumulus 16 comes in the Pink Cloud/Classic Red colorway, inspired by a Scandinavian sunset.
NAKED Copenhagen
It's not the first time Naked and ASICS have joined forces. 2015 saw a Gel-Lyte 5 come out of their partnership, followed by a Gel-1130 edition in 2022.
Naked Copenhagen has built a reputation over the years for a refined, feminine take on sneaker design, and that signature shows here too in the softer color choices. The Gel-Cumulus 16, brought back last year as a running classic with a streetwear edge, is up next.
Since that reintroduction, the model has increasingly served as a canvas for this kind of experimental project. Naked describes the moodboard well: the feeling of just being back in the city, while 'let's sit outside' still feels like a reasonable suggestion.
Sunset as a Moodboard
The upper opens in white mesh with a silver base, followed by dark brown overlays structuring the forefoot, lace area, and heel. The classic ASICS side stripes get thin red lines, and a soft pink tone shows up on the heel's GEL logo.
Two lace sets are included: one in pale pink, one in deep red, so you can mix and match depending on your mood. The cream midsole shows a red GEL unit with silver accents, while a black outsole adds contrast underneath.

The whole thing reads as a fresh take on archival runners: technical in build, but with a distinctly everyday feel. Sizing runs unisex, so whether you normally shop women's or men's sizes, there's a fit here for you.
