In the past month of April, news has come out that Nike will be releasing a new pack called the 'EMB' pack. Tomorrow, Thursday 29 April 2021, the release of the pack will take place. In total, the collection features three different silhouettes.
But which models are part of the pack? Nike decided on the Nike Dunk High, Air Force 1 High and Air Force 1 Low. The colorways that have been created on these models are inspired by different teams from different sports in Los Angeles, United States. For example, the colorway used on the Nike Dunk High is inspired by the well known LA Lakers. Furthermore, the other two sneakers took their inspiration from other sports. Besides the fact that the sneakers give a nod to sports from Los Angeles, there are also some details that are based on the popular snapbacks of the past, which are now slowly coming back.
Nike Dunk High EMB 'Court Purple' | DH0642-001
We kick off with the Nike Dunk High model that incorporates a 'Court Purple' colorway. As soon as you take a look at the sneaker, you notice that inspiration for this colorway was taken from the LA Lakers basketball team. The base of the shoe is made of canvas material in a black colour, while leather overlays are mainly purple.
Furthermore, the Swooshes are processed in yellow colours that emphasize the LA Lakers colour palette. On the back of the heel, there is embroidered Nike branding. Under the upper is a white contrasting midsole and a black oustole. Incidentally, snapback inspired tags can be found on the tongue.
Nike Air Force 1 High EMB 'Dodgers' | DC8168-100
Besides the Dunk High, two Air Force 1s will also be released. There will be both a high and low Air Force 1.
The high version is inspired by the Dodgers baseball team. White and blue tones cover the entire shoe from head to toe. It looks like the base of the sneaker is made up of white leather overlaid with blue canvas overlays. Think of the Swooshes, the eyestays and the strap. This sneaker also features an embroidered Nike patch on the heel. Besides that, the tongue is processed in the same way as the Dunk High.
Nike Air Force 1 Low EMB 'Black & White' | CT2301-001
Compared to the two previous colorways, this Air Force 1 Low comes in fairly neutral colours. The white leather base is overlaid by contrasting black layers, which continue through the forefoot and eyestays to the back of the model. Meanwhile, the Swoosh interrupts the black overlays with a grey colour. The eyestays and swooshes are made from the same canvas used on the other two silhouettes. Of course this sneaker also features Nike branding on the heel. The look is finished off by the white and grey sole.
