adidas collaborates once again with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Earlier this year, in 2024, we saw an adidas Superstar inspired by the turtles, and in April, we got a first look at the 'Splinter' colorway.
In May 2024, official images of another new addition to the TMNT collection were revealed. This sneaker puts one of the franchise’s most notorious villains in the spotlight: Shredder. The 'Splinter' and 'Shredder' colorways are set to drop on 22 May 2024 at 00:00.
TNMT x adidas Superstar 'Splinter' | IH4767
As the name suggests, this sneaker pays homage to Master Splinter, a key character in the TMNT series. Master Splinter is the mentor of the four turtles and teaches them ninjutsu.
The TMNT x adidas Superstar 'Splinter' is crafted from rugged suede with pink Three Stripes, reminiscent of Splinter’s signature colors. Turtle motifs adorn the tongue, while franchise-inspired insoles add a unique touch. Finally, Splinter’s weapons are elegantly presented on golden lace tags, completing the design.
TNMT x adidas Superstar 'Shredder' | IH7767
The design of the Shredder adidas Superstar features various elements of the villain’s samurai-like armour, capturing his menacing look. The upper is made of black leather, contrasting with striking white accents that mimic the sharp, dynamic edges of the armour.
Pink suede accents on the heel add a touch of elegance, while nodding to the villain’s distinctive details from the animated series. However, the most notable feature of these Superstars is undoubtedly the special dubraes, which include a chrome Shredder helmet and a medallion, showcasing the dark side of the TMNT franchise.
