Ex-YEEZY Designer Steven Smith Teams Up with Crocs for His Own Clog Mule

Clogs are more popular than ever. These days, Crocs is releasing one drop after another, often in collaboration with movies, franchises, and occasionally some high-end brands. For their next release, the brand enlisted the help of Steven Smith, who was previously responsible for various designs at YEEZY and is currently Head of Innovation Design and Executive Vice President at Crocs.

The result is exactly what you would expect: a futuristic and bold clog.

The new Crocs Clog Mule features a thick, chunky midsole that follows the curvature of the foot. The design includes blue, sculptural elements on the sides of the upper and ventilation holes in the top. Dynamic lines and shapes give this release its futuristic look.

Looking at this Crocs Mule, it’s no surprise that Steven Smith was (co)responsible for the YEEZY Foam RNNRs and Wave RNNR. After working at New Balance on ‘dad shoes’ like the 574, 1500, and 996, he joined adidas, where he could unleash his creativity on futuristic designs such as the Wave RNNR.

Since that ship has sailed, Smith seems to have found his calling at Crocs, which in 2025 is securing one collaboration after another.

It is not yet known when the Steven Smith x Crocs Clog Mule will drop. Check out the first images of the model below and keep an eye on the Sneakerjagers news page for updates.
