Everything you need to know about the Fragment X Travis Scott X Air Jordan 1 Collab 🔥

Yes folks, the time has finally come and the famous US rapper is launching the next Nike Travis Scott collab together with Nike! To be precise, Travis aka Cactus Jack will soon be delivering two brand new Air Jordan 1 models. Here we can all expect a huge hype again and this time maybe even a bigger one than usual. The Japanese fashion label Fragment Design has sneaked in on both models. So we can look forward to a triple collab at its best: Fragment X Travis Scott X Air Jordan 1! Sheeesh! 🤯

In this blog post you can read all about the design of the beautiful kicks, have a look at the sneakers in detail and on top of that we will of course show you where and when you have the chance to buy a pair.

Let's start with a quick overview of the most important information about the drop before we turn our attention to the design of the fresh pairs:

Release Info

Fragment X Travis Scott X Air Jordan 1 High

On Thursday, 29 July 2021, we will all be able to test our luck by picking the high-top variant of the Fragment x Travis Scott x Air Jordan collab. At 9:00 a.m. sharp, the gorgeous pieces will drop at Nike in the SNKRS app. Of course, some luck is needed here, as well as a bank balance of at least €200.

So far, the release is branded as a "SNKRS only" release, which means that the release in the Nike SNKRS app is the only way to grab it. However, if select retailers follow suit, we'll keep you posted on our release calendar! ⬇️

Fragment X Travis Scott X Air Jordan 1 Low

The low-top version of the upcoming Nike Travis Scott collab with Fragment Design is still a little while away, but not for long! The Air Jordan 1 Low will be released on Friday, 13 August 2021, and we'll all have the chance to get our hands on the hot kicks via Nike's SNKRS app at 9am.

The button below will take you to the entry in our release calendar. Be sure to keep an eye on it in case there are any changes to the date or the list of retailers! ⬇️

Since the beginning of the year we were allowed to see some unofficial pictures of this collaboration and were unknowingly put on hot coals for months. After we noticed that at some point many on-hand as well as on-feet pictures were provided with one and the same design, we knew that the kicks would really drop like this!

Since the release is not far off and super detailed pictures are finally available, we don't want to chat around any longer and take a closer look at the kicks:

On the whole, the Fragment X Travis Scott X Air Jordan 1 SP 'Military Blue' has all the features that the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 High released in 2019! The new pairs just come in a different colorway and a few minor details.

Unlike the first Travis Scott AJ1, the new sneakers have an upper made entirely of various premium leather elements, whereas the first version from '19 had some canvas leather overlays in brown.

Of course we can also look forward to Travis Scott's signature at Nike, because the new kicks also come with the mirrored Swoosh on the outside. This time in black.

Another highlight is of course the branding of the two collaborators working with Jordan Brand, which you can see here:

There are also other original design elements from the two brands. As you know from various Fragment Design collabs, the kicks have been given a lettering above the seam on the yellowed midsole.

In addition, the Cactus Jack logo has been placed once again on both inner sides behind the Swoosh and it comes to light when reflected in the light. But see for yourself:

Like the Jordan 1 High we just analysed, the low-top variant of the Fragment X Travis Scott X Air Jordan 1 comes in a similar colour scheme.

However, we can look forward to a different, equally special colour blocking here! Starting with the base, we get the finest smooth leather in white with black overlays on the toebox as well as in the midfoot area made of equally smooth leather.

Of course, the inverted Swoosh can't be missing here either! However, this one comes in a beige-like colour, which is also reflected on the midsole and the laces and gives the shoe a cool vintage look.

As you can see, the Low's also feature two brandings from Cactus Jack and Fragment Design on the blue heel. Here they are even quadruple.

The whole design is then finished off with a blue outsole, giving the kicks the final touch of harmony.

Our conclusion

In our opinion, the two new Fragment X Travis Scott Jordans are nice collector's pieces that you certainly don't want to miss. In our eyes, however, the AJ1 High makes a nicer overall picture. Of course, one can argue about that, because as always, tastes differ.

Why a triple collab is necessary here, however, is still not clear to us. After all, the work on the design was not exactly time-consuming, considering that both models feature exactly the same elements as the first versions released in 2019. But the more names, the more hype and that's exactly what Nike wants to achieve and does right in terms of marketing. At this point, let's just ignore the fact that the number of units is even lower than for the first Travis AJ1.

We hope that we can all celebrate new Travis Scott Air Force 1 models again soon! For us, the Travis Scott Air Force 1 'Sail' is still one of the best kicks from the pen of Cactus Jack. Of course, the Jordan 1 models are also super beautiful and special, but the too much hype sometimes gives the whole thing an unpleasant taste. But enough of the monologue! 😅😂 Form your own opinion!

In any case, we wish you good luck with your copping and will of course help you as much as we can. Stay up-to-date via our Instagram account and keep an eye on these two entries in our daily updated release calendar:
