We're expecting a new release from Cecilie Bahnsen and ASICS. The Danish designer, known for her distinctive floral prints, has created a wide range of designs, and this release focuses on the classic GEL-KAYANO 20.
Bahnsen’s new collaboration was first revealed during the Fall/Winter 2025 runway show in Paris earlier this spring, where her partnership with The North Face was also presented. The sneakers fuse Bahnsen’s feminine aesthetic with ASICS’ sporty heritage in a truly unique way.
The design is inspired by a 2005 marathon tabi shoe, which the designer discovered in the ASICS archive. The sneaker adopts the tabi’s asymmetrical lacing system, D-ring details, and shortened tongue construction.
A signature feature in all Cecilie Bahnsen releases, the floral motif, is also present here in the form of a floral 'cage'. The upper is crafted from transparent mesh, enhanced with glossy and reflective details throughout the silhouette.
