adidas x BAPE Crazy Energy+ gets a silver camo makeover

adidas and BAPE® are teaming up again. The adidas x BAPE Crazy Energy+ leads an autumn collection built on basketball and streetwear influences from the late '90s and early 2000s. The adidas x BAPE Crazy Energy+ and the matching apparel arrive on 7 November.

The bond between the two brands goes back a long way. In 2003, adidas and BAPE® released the 'Super Ape Star', a Superstar in BAPE® camo launched under the slogan "The Respect is Mutual".

The duo has returned regularly ever since. Think of the Stan Smith collection for BAPE®'s 30th anniversary in 2023, the NRTN pack and the Orketro in 2024 and a new Superstar pack in 2025. Last summer, they also kitted out football fans with shoes around the World Cup.

Now the focus shifts to the basketball court. The new collection draws on the basketball culture and streetwear of the era in which BAPE® had its heyday.

At its centre is the Crazy Energy+, one of the newest performance models from adidas Basketball. BAPE® gives the upper a metallic all-over print in COLOR CAMO SILVER.

On top sits a knitted lace overlay reading "WGM", short for World Gone Mad. You also get two interchangeable lacing options, so you can set the look yourself.

Purple as the common thread

Where the adidas x BAPE Crazy Energy+ goes silver, the apparel line revolves around purple. A nod to BAPE®'s COLOR CAMO, a pattern fans strongly associate with the early 2000s.

The standout piece is a black varsity jacket with purple accents and gold studs. The back carries a chenille print reading "World Gone Mad".

Alongside it comes a reversible mesh hoodie in COLOR CAMO PURPLE. The hood features a tonal shark face, the inside an all-over STA print. Reversible Adibreak track pants complete the set.

The line also includes a "World Gone Mad" warm-up top, a BABY MILO® T-shirt, a reversible beanie and a BABY MILO® basketball bag.

Basketball player Jalen Williams is the face of the campaign. He brings the collection to life on and off the court.

The adidas x BAPE Crazy Energy+ hits shelves on 7 November 2026 and is listed at retailers for €200.
