It's not a secret anymore, dear community, but still a pretty cool action! adidas brings back their A-ZX series from 2008 and presents us with 26 unique ZX drops of the zx models ending with a number thousand. Every letter of the alphabet gets its own unique style. Special collabs, incredible colorways and of course some surprises await you here!
The adidas ZX series consists of absolute classics and for the A-ZX series the brand with the three stripes has thoroughly searched its archives for the absolute highlights. Are you already curious which kicks will come next and which letter will be used for the next one?
From 'A' like Atmos to 'S' like Superstar to 'Z' like?
But one thing at a time, dear community! You'll get all the important details, some speculations and of course information about all the drops that are already on the market! Let's go!
A for ZX 8000 Atmos: This nice Collab has just been released! Here adidas has once again teamed up with the Japanese sneaker retailer Atmos and their interpretation of the ZX 8000 makes a real statement! A super special style, where overlays in snake-look, some fur and details that glow in the dark were mixed with a green neon colorway. After all everyone can be boring! C for ZX 9000 Concepts: The Boston based brand Concepts and adidas have designed a sneaker with the Boston Marathon as its motto. More precisely, the colorway has its inspiration from the so-called Mylar Blankets. Mylar Blankets are warming blankets or recovery blankets that are put on the runners during the Boston Marathon from time to time to protect them from injuries and hypothermia, especially after the sport. A-ZX - this adidas series has it all
D-H leaves us all a little room for speculation. But rumors are growing that this style is planned for I. As soon as this is officially confirmed and we get a release date, you will find out about it in our Sneaker News! [Update 30.August 2020] We are happy to announce that this style will be released on September 4th 2020! Yeah!
I for ZX 8000 IRAK: The IRAK RMX EQT was released in 2007 and is still one of the best releases in adidas history. Now IRAK and adidas are coming together again to make all sneaker fans' hearts beat faster with the IRAK x adidas ZX 8000 GTX! IRAK is a graffiti group from New York and so the sneaker does not only have an extremely good style, it's also mostly made of GORE-TEX materials and therefore robust and waterproof.
J for ZX 6000 Juventus: FC Juventus Turin from Italy brings some soccer vibes to the A-ZX series with this ZX 6000. Of course the Turin branding should not be missing on the sneaker. In addition there is an upper made of Italian leather and in the typical Turin black and white look, with orange laces completing the look. Check this blog for more news. K-M are also not yet known to us, but the letter N stands for a very special collab.
N for ZX 5000 National Parks: This shoe comes straight from the adidas archives and is a tribute to Joshua Tree National Park in California. The colorway reflects the landscape and the vibes of the park, including the sunset! We don't want to torch for long, leave O,P, Q out and continue straight with the 'R'!
R for ZX 1000 Retro OG: With this style you get a remake of a ZX 1000 from the 80s. Fans and Sneakerheads might remember it. So this chic colorway has now celebrated its release again and brings the right retro vibes. The upper is a mix of nylon and synthetic suede. Vintage! S for ZX 8000 Superstar: It couldn't be more iconic, dear community! This ZX 8000 gets the original print of the legendary adidas Superstar! An absolutely awesome style in my opinion. How convenient that the silhouette of the Superstar celebrates its 50th birthday this year. As you can see, we can't get out of the celebration at all.
