PUMA Style Rider Sneakers
Invented in the 80s by Armin A. Dassler, son of founder Rudolf Dassler, the Rider shoe was originally a jogging shoe with the legendary PUMA 'Federbein' sole.
The modern Fast Rider collection was released in 2018 as the PUMA Future Rider and Style Rider. Debuted in vivid colorways in 80s blocking, the design quickly gained traction in street style. Following their success, the Mile Rider and Cruise Rider joined the Rider family with a feminine touch in 2020.
By keeping the performance of the past and the technological development of the present in mind, the updated Rider line adapts to consumer changing needs. This sneaker has a breathable nylon base reinforced with a suede toe guard in homage to the original 80s sneaker. To ensure a minimal amount of stress on the Achilles tendon, the midsole of the shoe is elevated in relation to the rest of the sole. In spite of the revolutionary nature of the 'Federbein' sole at the time, the new Style Rider features improved padding and support with Rider Foam technology.
A statement design, the PUMA Style Rider embodies the heritage of the past in an improved casing.
