Puma Future Rider Sneakers
As the successor to the iconic Fast Rider, the Puma Future Rider today continues the legacy that Armin A. Dassler, the son of company founder Rudolf Dassler, established in the 1980s with the Puma 'Federbein' sole.
A contemporary version of the Fast Rider line was introduced in 2018 by Puma with the Future Rider and Style Rider. In colorways with vibrant 80s blocking, the design quickly gained popularity within the street-style scene. As a result of their commercial success, the Mile Rider and Cruise Rider were integrated into the Rider family in 2020.
A new Rider series has been developed to address the changing needs of the market while taking into account past performance and future technological advancements. The design uses the same breathable nylon as the base of the sneaker and strengthens it with a suede toe guard, in an effort to emulate the original from the 1980s. The midsole of the shoe is elevated in relation to the rest of the sole to ensure the least amount of stress on the Achilles tendon. As groundbreaking as the original 'Federbein' sole was, the Future Rider incorporates new Rider Foam technology for enhanced comfort and support.
With its bold design and modernized body, the Puma Future Rider preserves historical tradition.
