2021 was the 30th anniversary of the Nike Air Max BW silhouette, and in celebration the brand released the ‘City Pack’ containing four different colorways. 

The ‘Rotterdam’ utilises the colours of the city, green and white, amongst black denim, leather and mesh. The green Swoosh is a particularly stand-out feature on the shoe. Across the heel ‘Rotterdam’ is spelt out in all caps. 

‘220 BPM’ is printed on the tongue in a nod to the Gabber culture of the 90s. Specifically, it refers to how DJs would crank up the BPM to an insane 220 in the Rotterdam clubs.

The other releases in the ‘City Pack’ were the ‘Lyon’, ‘Los Angeles’ and ‘Beijing’ colorways.
