The Air Jordan 1 Low 'Dark Beetroot' comes in a colour-blocking of maroon and black. The sneaker's base is mainly made of 'tumbled' leather. A maroon hue, reminiscent of the colour of wine, can be found on the Swooshes, overlays, laces, inner lining and on the Jumpman logos on the tongue. 
 
A black hue can be seen on the toe cap, quarters, on the tongue and on the embroidered logo on the heel. An eye-catching detail is the visible stitching on the Swoosh.
