GORE-TEX is a waterproof and breathable material and is often used for outdoor products. The material is firmly built and has a long lifespan. Besides the Air Jordan 1, this material can also be found on the Air Force 1. For example, the Swoosh brand released the first Air Force 1 GORE-TEX in 2019 and dropped four different colorways in 2020.
Now Nike releases the AJ1 'Light Bone'. The sneaker has an upper made of water-resistant nubuck leather. The GORE-TEX material is also incorporated. The base of the shoe is completely set in white and the overlays are set in light and dark shades of grey. The Swoosh on the middle panel is coloured black, together with the Wing logo. Furthermore, the GORE-TEX logo above the midsoles and inner lining is set in black.
The perforation holes on the toebox are sealed to make the sneaker completely waterproof. The midsoles are set in white and the outsoles feature a striking pattern. The pattern is mainly black with transparent accents.
