A new Virgil Abloh Archive Air Force 1 Orange has surfaced, on the feet of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander no less. The NBA star showed the pair during NBA Media Day 2026 and shared the pictures himself on Instagram. Nothing has been announced yet about the release of the Virgil Abloh Archive Air Force 1 Orange.
The upper is almost entirely orange. A metallic silver Swoosh adds contrast, with a neon green tab underneath. V.A.A. branding sits on the medial side and the tongue features a circular cutout. A white zip tie hangs from the laces, while the midsole carries dual 'AIR' branding. Small details you often see in Abloh's work, like the zip tie, make the pair instantly recognisable.

From Off-White to V.A.A.
The design looks back to the Off-White version Virgil Abloh first presented at ComplexCon in 2017. The Air Force 1 was also one of the models in The Ten, Abloh's first Nike collection from that same year. Today, his estate releases designs like this with Nike under the Virgil Abloh Archive name. The orange colorway was previously on display in the museum exhibition 'Virgil Abloh: The Codes'.
Similar tonal models from Abloh's work previously arrived through limited channels, in partnership with museums such as the Brooklyn Museum, MoMA and the ICA. Whether the Virgil Abloh Archive Air Force 1 Orange will follow the same route is not yet confirmed. A style code, release date and EU price are also still missing.
