Pro skater Tyshawn Jones filed a lawsuit against Supreme on May 12, 2025, the brand he had collaborated with for more than half of his life. According to legal documents, Jones is suing the streetwear brand for defamation and breach of contract.
The lawsuit seeks $25 million in damages, plus $1.25 million that remains unpaid under his contract with Supreme.
Tyshawn Jones vs. Supreme
A lawsuit that is sensitive for both parties. Jones had worked with Supreme for over 13 years and even appeared on the cover of the 2020 Supreme book. At the age of 11, the skater appeared in various campaigns and shoots, but this changed when Supreme was sold to the eyewear brand Luxottica.
Supreme claims that Jones' choice to wear Marc Jacobs in a shoot at the end of 2024 was a violation of the contract, although Jones had previously modeled for brands like Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga. According to Jones, he was transparent and open about his work with other brands, and at the time, there were no objections from Supreme.
Jones accuses Supreme of using his dismissal as a way to cut costs. He claims that Supreme tarnished his name by firing him. He accuses the brand of ruining his career, as he is now blocked by other brands.

I his statement, he compares his relationship with Supreme to that of Nike and Michael Jordan, and he is deeply saddened that it has come to a lawsuit after their long collaboration. In an interview with the New York Post, Jones said:
“I am saddened it has come to this, but I have a duty to myself and my career, and feel a responsibility to the next generation of skateboarders to stand up for what is right. Supreme’s success has been shaped in large part by the contributions of young talent, and I believe those contributions deserve to be respected.”
