Skate Like A Girl and Nike SB come together this year, 2022, for a Dunk Low. Skate Like A Girl is a non-profit organisation that empowers individuals, especially young women and the transgender community. They want to ensure that these individuals become strong and confident leaders within the skateboarding community.
The upper of this Nike SB Dunk Low is mainly made of suede. On the overlays is a purple colour that also comes back on the laces, lining and branding. The rest of the upper is in a white hue.
The Swoosh stands out from the rest. The recognisable shape is made with corduroy and has been given a red colour. This red colour is also seen on the Nike branding on the heeltab.
The empowering mission is reflected in the design of this sneaker. Under the heeltab, there is an embroidery of two arms reinforcing each other in purple. The branding of the non-profit organisation can be found on the tongue and on the insole.
