Nike has been around since the 60's but keeps innovating time and time again. Over the years, the Air Max series has seen different models. One of the newest models is the Air VaporMax. This trainer is the perfect example of innovation in technology and design. But with this Nike Air VaporMax EVO, Nike also honours the Air Max history at the same time. Check out the model here:
Air VaporMax
Nike released the Air VaporMax in 2017. This was Nike's latest running innovation shoe and was even called the "highlight" of the Nike Air. Special about this new model was the VaporMax Unit sole. This was the first sole without foam which means it was the first time the sole, consisting of the Air Unit, touched the ground directly. The upper consisted of woven Flyknit material, a perfect combination!

The Air VaporMax EVO uses various parts of previous Air Max models as inspiration. The shoe has a dynamic look due to the lines on the upper. The material on the upper is a lot firmer than for example a full Flyknit sole.
The shoe is mainly given a 'Wolf Grey' colour. Besides that, they played with different shades of grey, white and black, which gives the sneaker a convex look.
When you zoom in on the shoe, you can see an enormous amount of detail. For example, on the heel, from top to bottom: VaporMax on the label, EVO, NIKE, the NIKE logo in a black shiny round and a mini swoosh.
On the recognizable sole, some parts are also blacked out. White accents are added to make the sole stand out.
'What The'
Earlier this month, another colorway of the VaporMax EGO model dropped. For this 'What The' design, more black accents were used. Furthermore, the shoe featured several colourful details, which were also derived from previous Nike Air Max models. Read more here.
