For the latest release of the Karhu AW25 Fusion XC Pack, the Finnish brand has teamed up with the Helsinki-based design collective Minestrone Workshop. The young collective from the northern district of Vallila is known for its experimental approach, in which local wood and heavy machinery play a central role.
That same robust mentality translates seamlessly into the Fusion XC. An ode to craftsmanship and a sneaker that conveys this message perfectly, perhaps even more beautifully in its campaign.
Karhu Fusion XC
The Karhu Fusion XC combines the best of both worlds: retro aesthetics with modern functionality. The upper is made of durable material, while the chunky sole provides grip and comfort, something that comes in very handy in the rugged Finnish landscape.

The design is inspired by various archival pieces from KARHU, with the taped M-logo as the standout detail, a nod to the Fusion AP from 1996.

The sole has also been updated: the iconic T-profile stud pattern, which has appeared on Karhu shoes since the last century, such as the classic Synchron Classic, has been reimagined to offer both nostalgic charm and modern-day comfort.
With the Fusion XC, Karhu and Minestrone Workshop demonstrate that heritage and innovation can go hand in hand.
Release
The sneaker will arrive in three colorways: 'Beech & Jet Black', 'Silver Lining', and 'Cork & Cappuccino'. The sneakers drop on September 26, 2025, at Karhu and selected retailers.
