After the success of the New Balance 2000 in collaboration with Joe Freshgoods, which first appeared during Paris Fashion Week, rapper Aminé is the second to take on this striking silhouette. Considering his previous releases, the vibrant color palette doesn’t come as a surprise.

Artist Aminé, known for tracks like Spicegirl, Caroline and REEL IT IN, is on a roll. After previously dropping the New Balance 740 and 610, Aminé now sets his sights on the ABZORB 2000, a new silhouette inspired by early-2000s running shoes.
The sneaker features a chunky design, highlighted by the large ABZORB SBS pods in the sole. Its streamlined, almost futuristic look is amplified by the neon green upper and glow-in-the-dark midsole. Co-branded logos appear on the tongue and heel, along with the release name: Biblioteca.
The name is not a random choice but a nod to the local library in Portland, the place where Aminé grew up. Much like many Joe Freshgoods releases, this drop comes with a special request: donate a book to the library.
In an Instagram post, the artist shared that anyone who donates a book and sends proof will receive a free pair.
