It has now been over five years since the world had to say goodbye to the beloved basketball player and father of three daughters, Kobe Bryant. Yet, cliché as it may sound, his spirit still lives on, also at Nike. As a tribute to the Black Mamba, Nike is bringing back the Air Force 1 Low ‘Linen’ (2007), this time with Bryant’s portrait on the side.
The first rumors about a rerelease surfaced in spring 2025. Now, a few months later, Nike has confirmed the release, much to the delight of many. The design stays close to that of its predecessor but adds several innovative elements.
The model features a beige suede upper with hidden seams to conceal external stitching. The heel panel has been removed to make room for an impressive portrait of Kobe Bryant.
From the sole to the Mamba’s determined gaze, etched in gold. The Swoosh runs across his face, creating a striking contrast. A major difference compared to its predecessor is that the 2025 release does not feature a translucent rubber midsole.
Since the Air Force 1 Supreme ‘Kobe’ from 2007 retailed at €250, this release will most likely be in the same price range (especially considering Nike’s current pricing strategy).
The Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Low Protro 'Linen' will release on November 24, 2025, at Nike and selected retailers. Keep an eye on the Sneakerjagers news page for updates on this release.
