The New Balance 2002R 'Conversations Amongst Us' will be released on May 12, 2022. The sneaker in collaboration with Joe Freshgoods is part of the 'Conversations Amongst Us' pack, which also comes with an NB 550. The collection also comes with matching apparel. All pieces will also be available at the New Balance store in Amsterdam.
New Balance 'Conversations Amongst Us'
The long-awaited New Balance 2002R 'Conversations Amongst Us' will be released on May 12, 2022. The sneaker is designed in collaboration with Joe Freshgoods and has an important message. With the 'Conversations Amongst Us' pack, Joe wants to draw attention to conversations within the black community.
On 9 April 2022, Joe posted a skit on his Instagram called 'NOD'. In this clip, we see two men nodding contentedly at each other's sneakers as a token of appreciation. In this clip, we also see the 550 passing by, which we can expect in the coming weeks.
On 12 April 2022, the series received a second part in which we see three girls complimenting each other on their nails. "I wanted to touch on my love of Black women gassing each other up, with the bathroom serving as the sanctuary for certain conversations", says Joe in the caption. With this mini series Joe pays tribute to the "black culture".
Joe Freshgoods
New Balance and Joe Freshgoods have collaborated in the past. The two names came out with their first sneaker in 2020, the 992 'No Emotions Are Emotions'. Recently, Joe was in Chicago with his New Balance 9060 'Inside Voices' sneakers, where he raffled off these pairs in collaboration with Community Goods.
Now, the Netherlands is getting ready for the release of the New Balance 2002R 'Conversations Amongst Us'. The sneaker is beige and combines orange details. The upper is made of textile and the leather overlays give the sneaker a chic look. Orange details are placed around the upper.
For example, the N logo is orange and has grey details. On the heel, 'Conversations Among Us' is printed in orange. The New Balance logo also appears here. The orange details in the midsole match the upper. The collection also comes with matching apparel.
In this collection, we see several shirts and hoodies. The name of the collaboration is printed on them. The items come in the colours white, black and yellow. The New Balance logo also makes its appearance on the items. Check the pictures of the entire collection below.

The New Balance 'Conversations Among Us' collection will be available at the New Balance store in Amsterdam on May 12, 2022. At Leidsestraat 30, you can score the NB 2002R and the matching apparel.
The 2002R 'Conversations Amongst Us' is also available online via New Balance. Here, the pair will be dropped on May 12, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. sharp.
