On May 21, 2022, New Balance will celebrate their annual Grey Day. On this day, the brand pays tribute to their classic and famous 'Grey' colorway and does so this year with three new sneakers. The models 327, 57/40 and XC-72 will get a makeover and will also be available at the New Balance store in Amsterdam on May 21. The pack will also release with matching apparel.
New Balance 'Grey Day'
On Saturday, May 21, 2022, New Balance will highlight the 'Grey' colorway during their annual 'Grey Day'. The 'Grey' is perhaps the most iconic colorway of the brand and has already appeared on several models. It will also appear on the awaited Made in USA pack, which will be released in the Netherlands on June 23, 2022.
This year, New Balance is giving the models 327, 57/40 and XC-72 a makeover during 'Grey Day', under the slogan 'Worn By Anyone'. This hints at the versatility and the progressive character of the sneakers. The three sneakers combine different shades of grey and have a unique look.
Besides the three sneakers, New Balance also comes with matching apparel. These will also appear in the same shades of grey. For both men and women, there are items in different grey styles.
New Balance 327
One of the sneakers to be released during 'Grey Day' is the New Balance 327 'Black'. This pair has a unique outsole and has been given striking studs. The upper is made of mesh and the overlays are suede and leather. The mudguard is grey and made of coarse suede.
The N logo on the middle panel has an enlarged look, unlike previous New Balance models. The logo is coloured grey and matches well with the black upper. The midsole colours off-white and gives the sneaker a retro look. The New Balance logo is put on the tongue.
NB 57/40
The second sneaker released on Grey Day is the New Balance 57/40 in an off-white colourway. The sneaker has a sporty look and combines different materials. The dynamic overlays on the upper give the sneaker a modern look.
The midsole has wavy elements that make the pair unique. The mudguard is light grey and made of leather. Suede overlays are placed on the upper, what gives the pair a chic look. The N-logo is placed on the middle panel.
New Balance XC-72
The third, and last sneaker to be released on Grey Day is the New Balance XC-72. The sneaker is one of the latest models and has a striking outsole with an asymmetrical look. The outsole combines round and square studs. These studs protrude from the outsole and give the model a unique twist.
The upper combines the materials textile, leather and suede. The tongue is off-white and colours well with the grey overlays. The mudguard at the toe cap has a split look. The N logo is placed on the middle panel. It is coloured dark grey here and is made of leather.
Apparel
Besides the three sneakers that will be released during Grey Day, New Balance also comes with matching apparel. The apparel items come in different shades of grey and have the New Balance logo on the silhouette. The brand comes with jerseys, shirts, sweatpants and shorts.
Drop
