Flat-soled sneakers are far from disappearing from the fashion scene, and Marc Jacobs’ latest design proves this once again. After sporty silhouettes like the Jogger and Lazy Hiker, the label now unveils the 72 Spring Sneaker, a Y2K-inspired tech runner with sleek details. And it's a real hit.
The streamlined design features a dynamic upper that combines mesh and technical overlays. The sneaker, reminiscent of the Miu Miu x New Balance 530 collab or the recent New Balance 204L, is available in striking color combinations.
The 'Fuchsia/Green' colorway especially stands out. The sneaker has a bright pink upper with darker fuchsia overlays and a bright green, C-shaped detail on the mid-panel. An 'M' made of leather is placed over the instep.
‘Marc Jacobs’ is printed on the heel, and the label’s name can also be found in bright yellow on the sole. Besides the 'Fuchsia/Green' colorway, there is also a denim variant, a black one, a brown one, and a brown with yellow combination. All models feature the same details and overlays.
The Marc Jacobs 72 Spring Sneaker is now available through the official Marc Jacobs webshop and select stores. The release coincides with rumors about a possible sale of the brand by LVMH, though this has not been confirmed.
