Lacoste has put a real tennis ball inside a sneaker. The Lacoste Ace-T debuted on the runway at the 'Dress Code: No White Required' show and is planned for Spring/Summer 2027. With the Lacoste Ace-T, the brand once again explores where tennis and fashion meet.

The standout detail sits at the back. The heel splits into a V-shape, and right in that gap sits a tennis ball, wedged between the footbed and the lower heel. Not a print or a logo nod. An actual ball.

The upper is just as bold. A large TPU frame with diamond-shaped cutouts sits over layers of mesh and canvas. That caged look of the Lacoste Ace-T recalls the design language of the Nike Kobe 3, though Lacoste clearly takes it its own way. Angled triangular cutouts in the sole visually break up the platform and suggest forward motion.
Tennis as the starting point
Lacoste continues a direction that already showed earlier this year with the refreshed AG-LT Pro. The brand is pushing harder at the line between tennis shoe and fashion statement. Several colorways appeared on the runway, but official names have not been announced yet.
What can we say? A crazy, yet somehow also obvious design. We love the futuristic look and the crazy approach behind this concept, and we're very curious how bouncy the tennis ball cushioning really is in practice.
There is no exact release date yet. The Lacoste Ace-T is scheduled for Spring/Summer 2027; the EU retail price and style code have not been confirmed. Until then, you can browse the current sneaker range from Lacoste or check out the Lacoste page on Sneakerjagers.
